Vita

The soprano singer Christine Maier, born in the Black Forrest, graduated with honours at the “Hochschule für Musik” in Cologne (Prof. Henner Leyhe and Prof. Monica Pick-Hieronimi). Even at the College of Music and on various German stages she has performed parts of opera orchestrations by Igor Folwill, Wolfgang Quetes, Lisa Stumpfögger and Martin Schurr. Her concerts have led her through all of Europe and Austria.

Achim Hoffman (baritone) started his musical training with the Regensburger Domspatzen. Until summer 2005 he studied with Prof. Monica Pick-Hieronimi at the “Hochschule für Musik” in Cologne. Since then he has performed various concerts and operas, e. g. he acted as Papageno in Mozart’s “The Magic Fluet”, as Count Almaviva in Figaro’s “The Marriage”, as Claudius in Händel’s “Aggripina” or as Achilles in Offenbach’s “The Beautiful Helena”; a CD with him singing the Trutz in Siegfried Wagner’s “The Goblin” has been published, a DVD will be released soon.
